5 THINGS I WISH I WAS TOLD BEFORE I STARTED BLOGGING

Hey guys! I thought I would write a post about the top 5 things I wish I was told before I started blogging. As most of you know Twitter has blown up and there has been many opinions about a topic 'revolution Instagram'. Instagram bots. All I have to say about the topic is everyone is allowed an opinion, so heres mine - work smarter, not harder.  Lets get into tip number 1.

1. Blog Design
You first need a platform whether you choose Blogger, Wordpress or something different. You will need somewhere where you can upload your pictures and ramble about your favourite project. Don't worry if your stuck on anything, youtube and google will be your best friend when researching how to do something. Even if you forgot how to get back to the home page - google it. Don't waste time searching around for something. Feel free to pop a comment down below if you need help, I can try my best :)

2. Have a purpose
To grow a following and to work with brands you will need to find your niche. Mine is that my style is 'different' and 'quirky'. Also I love glitter, silver, unicorns.. all that jazz. If you want to be a food blogger, petite style blogger, plus size blogger, fitness guru - its up to you. If you have a fun hobby - then you've found your niche. Then you need to know WHY you are doing what you are doing, when you have a purpose its transparent and your readers will like you for it.

3. Quality not quantity
Literally only just getting the hang of this one now. I would take loads and loads of okay/bad photos and try and pic the best out of the worst. Now, (literally only yesterday) I spend more time getting the background, outfit, lighting and camera settings right. If your unsure of what camera to use, or even how to use it.. you can google or youtube 'best camera for ....(fashion blog).. photos'/ how to use ..(camera)..' for example and see real images as reviews.

4. Consistency
Again, only just wishing now that I had always been consistent. I think I'm writing this blog post for myself too! Every self help blog article or any full time blogger will tell you that consistency is key and to NEVER give it. Its is soooo worth your time and effort, trust me.

5.  Make Friends
Every big blogger that I have found and loved I have either found them through a company OR I have found them through someone else that I follow. Simples. Also, It feels sooo good to hang out with and talk about blogging/youtubing with someone else who knows exactly how you feel.
