ELF & NYX Haul + Application Review

Hey Savers! so I have a huge huge HAUL up on my youtube channel, plus I did a tutorial on the makeup featured in the video, which included many many ELF & NYX products from the haul. I wanted to do a blog post on the items because I have been getting questions about some of the products. Please be aware that my opinion right now, is a review from first time applications since ive only been using some of the products for less than a week. PLUS some products which work for me, may not work for you and vice versa. OK. So you savers can watch the haul HERE and you can watch the tutorial HERE. Have fun, and hurry they have a HUGE sale on right now!!

ELF Fan Brush - Super cheap brush, amazing colour bristles BUT the texture of bristles are slightly rough. I still love the way it apply my highlighter though!! 4/5

ELF Flawless Concealor Brush - Super cheap, super soft bristles, a little too dense for my creased under eyes. BUT I can use the brush as a blending brush for eyeshadow. love. 4/5

ELF Blending Brush - Super cheap, super awesome. Does what its suppose to do. no regrets. 5/5

ELF Mineral Infused Primer in Gold - Good price, good colour, and loving the shimmery pigment for dull skin. Slightly thick, but blends out really well. Packaging a little boring. 5/5

ELF Zit Zapper - Super cheap, does what its suppose to. Doesn't bring out much product, but I think that's what its meant to be like. Same issue with last spot roller. Sleek, simple packaging. 5/5

ELF Makeup Mist & Set - Super cheap, gives me a nice dewy finish. Cant tell if it keeps my makeup on for longer yet. We will see. Packaging a little dull. Sprays out a little too strong. 3/5

ELF Makeup Lock & Seal - Only used this once, unsure if this product works. A little messy as you have to mix your product with the solution before applying it to your face. Good idea, and super cheap so would be good to try out for yourself. 3/5

ELF Tone Correcting Concealor in Apricot Beige - Super cheap, small and sleek. Smells amazing, and the creasing isn't too bad. Really hard to pick your colour online. Not too thick, not too thin and good coverage. Yellow tone, but id prefer a red tone for under my eyes, works better as a highlight for me. 4/5

ELF High Definition Undereye Setting Powder -
Super cheap, love it. Transparent loose powder with light reflection purple shimmer. Perfect for dark circles to set your concealer. I use a really soft under eye brush from MAC to apply this. Sets my concealer beautifully, no dry skin. 5/5

ELF Moisturizing Lipstick in Red Carpet - Super cheap, nice packaging. Really bad pigmentation. Even after applying 4 coats, it still looks sheer. Looks great in the tube. 1/5

ELF Lipstick in Nostalgic - Super cheap, cheap packaging. Again, really bad pigmentation. Colour is gorgeous though, might work with this one. 1/5

ELF Cream Eyeliner in Black **MUST HAVE** - Amazing, best thing I bought from ELF. Super creamy, super black, easy to apply, lots of product and super cheap! Lasts all day. Make sure to apply it with the right kind of brush, I recommend a brush similar to the eyeliner brush from Bobbi Brown. 5/5

ELF Corrective concealer  - Super cheap, good pigmentation. A little thick for my undereyes. But works better once ive worked with it and warmed it up with my fingers. Works great for redness etc. Doesn't peek through foundation. Good colour selection. 4/5

ELF Eyebrow Kit in Medium - Good choice of colours, cheap. I choose medium and the gel is just way too dark for me, & the powder too light. Not for me really, I prefer using a pencil either from Dior or MAC. 2/5

ELF Blush in Blushing Rose **MUST HAVE** - Adore this product. Not only is it super pigmented, but the colour is just unbelievably gorgeous. Super cheap. Apply small amounts. 5/5

ELF Baked Blush in Pinktastic **MUST HAVE** - Another amazing blush. A multitasker, I use this for a highlighter plus an eyeshadow and to brighten up my eye makeup/brow bone. Super pigmented, just another gorgeous colour. 5/5

NYX Lashes in Fabulous Lashes in Miss Thirsty el 201 - Cheapish lashes, good product just not for me. Im not a huge lashes fan anyways, and they were not thick enough for the length of them. 2/5

NYX Matte Finish Setting Spray - Didn't realize I purchased a Matt Effect finishing spray, I usually go for a dewy look. Matifies my makeup, with a light pump spray. Nice packaging. Unsure if my makeup lasts all day. It does set it well though. 3/5

NYX Eyeshadow in Pine Nut & Nutmeg - Really good pigmentation, loads of product. Little pricy for only one shade. Sleek, contemporary packaging. Would love to try them all! 4/5

NYX Lipstick in Medusa **MUST HAVE** - Absolutly love this product. Not only for the pigmentation, but for the colour. Its an amazing, bright yet deep purple colour & im loving purple right now. The SELECTION of colours for their lipsticks, oh my.. if only I could try them all. Sleek contemporary packaging. Amazing price. 5/5

I really hope this blog post helped you figure out which products to try, and which products NOT to try! Hopefully will have some updated reviews on certain products in the future. HAPPY SAVING!
